Mrs Wynne's Class 2024 - 2025

Mrs Wynne

Pinehurst Primary School : Year 3: Cedar and Hazel

Summer 1

We kindly ask that you ensure your child arrives at school on time, ready and prepared for the day ahead. Punctuality is crucial as it sets the tone for the day and enables our students to start their learning at 8.45am.

Moreover, please remember to label all your child's belongings, including their uniform, bags, and lunchboxes. This helps us ensure that lost items can be easily returned to their rightful owners. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.

We value open communication and are here to assist you in any way we can. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us through Seesaw.

General information:

The school day will begin at 8.40am and finish at 3.15pm.

Reading:

Please continue to encourage your children to read at home at least 4 times per week, this is apart of the school homework policy. It would be fantastic if you could continue to sign your child's diary at the end of the week once they have read 4 times. Reading diaries will be checked weekly when your child has their Guided Reading Session.  Please remember children can quiz at home the using the accelerated reader link. Englsh

In English this week we will be starting our new book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The children loved reading this book so it will be great to now complete our English work based on the story. We will be starting off with describing the Bucket's home.

Spelling shed is a great site that will help with extra spelling practise. Any extra practise is really beneficial.  https://www.spellingshed.com/en-gb/

Each day, our Maths lessons begin with a focus on improving our fluency in arithmetic and times tables knowledge.  The children have some times tables in the back of the reading diaries any extra practise would be really beneficial. Thank you.
