Important changes to collection arrangements

Dear Parents & Carers,

Today I reviewed our drop off and pick up arrangements with the staff who know our school best. Now that we are no longer staggering finish times it was felt that if all classes left at the same time at the end of the day, it would inevitably lead to congestion on the 'donkey path'. In order to reduce this number, the following arrangements have been made with regards to collecting your child at the end of the day:

Y2 will leave via the main gate near the Asda carpark

Y3 will leave via the small gate opposite the Annexe near the Asda carpark

Y4 will leave via the Fairview Avenue gate by the school carpark

Y5 will leave via the Fairview Avenue gate by the school carpark

Y6 will leave by the gate and exit most convenient to them as many walk home unaccompanied.

If you usually park on the Asda carpark, but your child is now leaving via the Fairview Avenue gate, you can arrange for your child to meet you near to the park as hopefully by the time your child has walked round, the congestion should have eased.

Hopefully this plan will work for everybody. It will be monitored and reviewed as necessary.

Many thanks for patience and understanding with drop off and collection arrangements to date as I appreciate there have been numerous changes.
